The game developers at Capital Games have created several ways to communicate different changes and development insights over the years. They include:

  • The Road Ahead
    • Originally introduced as a Quarterly report that discusses upcoming content and changes that will be happening for the coming quarter. It is now used to announce huge updates and content that will be coming to the game. If a Road Ahead is not posted for a given quarter the State of the Galaxy will be used in its place.
  • State of the Galaxy
    • A monthly post that talks about the developers progress on building new features, things coming out that month, and to discuss some issues that are currently affecting the game.
  • Developer Q and A
    • A monthly check-in with the players to address concerns and questions they may have about recent Road Ahead or State of the Galaxy posts as well as any other questions they have as it relates to issues with the game or things they would like to see added.
  • Interviews
    • A sporadic occasion where someone at Capital Games will do an interview with a SWGOH talk show or news host. These interviews sometimes expand on the information in the other posts mentioned above, but can also include other topics, concerns, and changes that may be coming to the game. They mostly do this is with The Galactic War Report. They also did do a few interviews on The Escape Pod...cast back in mid 2019.
  • Game Changers Program - Discontinued
    • On hiatus starting mid to late 2018 and officially discontinued in June 2019. The developers use to share unreleased game information with content creators so they could introduce new features and content to the game's community via their chosen media platforms.
  • Community Updates - Discontinued
    • Community Updates were originally weekly posts done by EA_Jesse when the game first launched discussing similar topics as the current State of the Galaxy does. Starting around October 2016 the frequency of the posts started to become less until they ended in January of 2017. State of the Galaxy posts seem to have taken over these updates starting in May 2017.
