Lore
The ARC-170 (Aggressive ReConnaissance-170) Starfighter was a heavy duty model of starfighter that served as the mainstay fighter of Galactic Republic fleets during the Clone Wars, and even during the reign of the Galactic Empire, until it was replaced with the TIE line of starfighters.
The ARC-170 was a solid ship designed to fulfil a variety of roles, including intense dogfights, long distance reconnaissance and targeted bombing runs. It contained its own hyperdrive and was typically piloted by two organic pilots and an Astromech droid. Its laser cannons could punch through even a capital ship’s armor, it also possessed rear firing blaster cannons and proton torpedo tubes for added defensive and offensive utility.
The ARC-170 starfighter was initially created by Incom/Subpro for the Galactic Republic as a multipurpose starship, and was a successor to the Clone Z-95 starfighter, itself being a variant of the popular Z-95 Headhunter, an almost direct ancestor to the T-65 X-wing Starfighter piloted by the likes of Luke Skywalker, Biggs Darklighter and Wedge Antilles.
It was Clone Pilots flying ARC-170’s that destroyed Jedi Master Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter and its pilot when order 66 was issued
Frontline or Reinforcement?
Always a reinforcement. This ship’s viability comes mostly from its reinforcement ability, putting up a permanent taunt that is only removed by buff immunity or losing all protection.
Strengths
High health and protection. Semi-permanent taunt. Can inflict Target Lock and recover protection. Decent damage on special.
Weaknesses
Relatively easy to get through. Not really a standout ship in any way. Taunt requires being called as a reinforcement.

Playstyle
Clone Sergeant exists to have taunt. Call him as a reinforcement and do your best to keep his protection high so that your other ships are left alone. Has moderate synergy with Home One (guaranteed critical hit with Advantage, which allows a Target Lock) and Executrix (Retribution on a taunting tank reinforcement with high health that can inflict Target Lock on basic).
