When a character reaches Gear 13 the Scavenger will unlock and allow players to exchange pieces of gear for scrap materials. These scrap materials are then used to increase the Relic Amplifiers (Relics) of the characters. Relics greatly increase the stats of characters and can take a while to max so maximizing the use of gear used to create them is very important. Some scrap materials utilize gear that are not good investments and some times it is not clear which pieces of gear would be best to use. This guide will help you in finding out which gear would be good choices for you to use to create scrap materials.

Farming Strategy
This section will outline suggestions and tips for players based on where they are in the game and the gear listed in the Best gear for scrap section below. To come up with your own strategy or to see what gear pieces are safe to scrap beyond what is outlined in this section you can check out the analysis sections for each scrap material.
Starting Out
Obtaining gear to scrap is going to come naturally in time with regularly obtaining units and leveling up their rarity and gear. For people who are low on teams and still trying to fill out their roster it is best to focus on maxing out the teams the units will be in before switching from farming shards or blueprints to gear for scrap. When you are ready to transition to farming for scrap materials for a team but not quite ready to fully dedicate all resources to it here are some tips you can do:
- Most units will do well at just Relic 1-3 so aim for farming gear to reach Relic 3 (Bronzium, Carbonite Circuit Board, Chromium Transistor). After that you can pursue Relic 5 (previous plus Aurodium Heatsink) for units that play an important role on the team(s) and Relic 7 (previous plus Electrium Conductor and Zinbiddle Card) for the units that matter most for the team and are great in other teams and content as well.
- Always do your 5 Challenges a day, about 75% of the gear from them are good options for scrapping.
- Always farm for crafting highest scrap materials you need first, then farm the lower ones as needed. Never choose a Dark Side or Light Side Battle mission (node) specifically for farming gear you can get from Challenges. The following nodes are good choices for farming:
- Gyrda Keypad: Fleet Battles: 3-E (Normal) for Mk 12 ArmaTek Stun Gun Prototype Salvage.
- Impulse Detector: Light Side Battles: 9-F (Normal) for Mk 12 ArmaTek Bayonet Prototype Salvage.
- Zinbiddle Card: Fleet Battles: 3-A (Normal) for Mk 12 ArmaTek Key Pad Prototype Salvage.
- Electrium Conductor: Dark Side Battles: 9-C (Normal) for Mk 12 ArmaTek Cybernetic Prototype Salvage and Territory Battles and Guild Store to obtain the Mk 7 pieces needed to craft a full piece. Note: Switch to other Mk 12 gear as needed when your supply of the Mk 7 gear used to craft them gets higher than you need them at.
- Aurodium Heatsink: Buy Mk 3 Sienar Holo Projector Salvage from Guild Store. Weekly Shipment also a good option for the full piece.
- Chromium Transistor: Guild Store to purchase MK 7 BlasTech Weapon Mod, Mk 5 BlasTech Weapon Mod to craft Mk 7 Fabritech Data Pad, and Mk 2 Sienar Holo Projectors to craft Mk 8 Fabritech Data Pad.
- Bronzium Wiring:Light Side Battles: 7-B (Normal) is best to farm. Guild Store and Squad Arena also have several full gear pieces or prototypes that can be purchased. Can use Weekly Shipment to buy Bronzium Wiring at good price.
- Carbonite Circuit Board: Light Side Battles: 1-C (Normal)
Focused Farming
When you are ready to dedicate more resources to farming for scrap here are some things you can do.
- Gyrda Keypad
- Best gear to farm is Mk 12 ArmaTek Stun Gun Prototype Salvage due to it being needed the least to upgrade units. Mk 12 ArmaTek Fusion Furnace Prototype Salvage has better drops on the node but is required twice as much as Stun Guns are. It may be more beneficial to get these through events rather than by farming.
- Territory Battles, Territory War, and The Sith Triumvirate have a chance of having gear you can use as scrap for Gyrda Keypad.
- Stores listed below should only be used if your roster building is already complete otherwise use them for leveling up your units.
- Shard Store has 4 for 720.
- Guild Events Store has 8 for 800. Recommended to save tokens for exclusive units.
- Weekly Shipment have gear salvage at 1750 for 50 which will get you about 3.8 Gyrda Keypads. Only buy scrap if panic farming and never by gear salvage to scrap. For more details see Shipment Analysis.
- Fleet Battles: 3-E (Normal)
- Fleet Battles: 2-E (Normal)
- Impulse Detector
- Best gear to farm is Mk 12 ArmaTek Bayonet Prototype Salvage due to it sharing the same node as Mk 3 Sienar Holo Projector if all reserves are low. Otherwise, just use whichever you have the most of.
- Territory Battles, Territory War, and The Sith Triumvirate have a chance of having gear you can use as scrap for Impulse Detectors.
- Stores listed below should only be used if your roster building is already complete otherwise use them for leveling up your units.
- Shard Store has 4 for 360.
- Guild Events Store has 10 for 800. Recommended to save tokens for exclusive units.
- Weekly Shipment has the best value at 1800 for 10 Impulse Detectors. Only purchase if panic farming and never buy gear salvage to scrap from shipments. For more details see Shipment Analysis.
- Light Side Battles: 9-F (Normal)
- Can use for Impulse Detector (12 points).
- Can be used for Chromium Transistor (6 points). Recommended to keep 1800-2000 in reserves.
- Can be used to craft Mk 3 Sienar Holo Projector for Aurodium Heatsink (500 points). Never use salvage.
- Can be used to craft Mk 8 Fabritech Data Pad for Chromium Transistor (300 points).
- Can be used for Carbonite Circuit Board (6 points). Recommended to keep 100 in reserves.
- ZINBIDDLE CARD
- Territory Battles and The Sith Triumvirate have a chance of having gear you can use as scrap for Zinbiddle Cards.
- Stores listed below should only be used if your roster building is already complete otherwise use them for leveling up your units.
- Shard Store has 4 for 720
- Championship Store has 5 for 550
- Guild Events Store has 8 for 800. Recommended to save tokens for exclusive units instead.
- Shipments have gear salvage at 1750 for 50 (10 Zinbiddle) and 1400 for 10 Zinbiddle. Only buy gear salvage to scrap if panic farming. For more details see Shipment Analysis.
- Fleet Battles: 3-A (Normal).
- ELECTRIUM CONDUCTOR
- Crafting Required: Depending on how many events you participate in, it may not always be beneficial to use full pieces so choose what is best for you. If you have a lot of the required Mk 7 gear pieces then go for crafting, if you have very little Mk 7 gear pieces and a lot of Mk 12 then it could be beneficial to just use the Mk 12. Either way never farm for Mk 7 gear pieces and try to obtain them through events.
- Territory Battles, Territory War, and The Sith Triumvirate have a chance of having gear you can use as scrap for Electrium Conductors.
- Stores listed below should only be used if your roster building is already complete otherwise use them for leveling up your units.
- Shard Store has 4 for 360.
- Guild Events Store has 10 for 800. Recommended to save tokens for exclusive units.
- Weekly Shipment has the best value at 1725 for 15 Electrium Conductors. Only purchase if panic farming and never buy gear salvage to scrap from shipments. For more details see Shipment Analysis.
- Dark Side Battles: 9-A (Normal)
- Light Side Battles: 9-E (Normal)
- Can use for Electrium Conductor (15 points).
- Can use for Chromium Transistor (6 points). Recommended to keep 500-800 in reserves.
- Can use for Bronzium Wiring (4 points). Recommended to keep 800-1200 in reserves.
- Can be used to craft Mk 7 BlasTech Weapon Mod for Chromium Transistor (300 points).
- Can use for Carbonite Circuit Board (6 points). Recommended to keep 100-200 in reserves.
- Dark Side Battles: 9-C (Normal) Recommended
- Can use for Electrium Conductor (15 points).
- Can be used for Chromium Transistor (6 points). Recommended to keep 300-400 in reserves.
- Do not scrap, save for gearing up characters.
- Can be used to craft Mk 7 BlasTech Weapon Mod for Chromium Transistor (300 points).
- Can be used for Bronzium Wiring (4 points). Recommended to keep 30-60 in reserves.
- Can be used for Bronzium Wiring (12 points).
- Light Side Battles: 9-A (Normal)
- Can use for Electrium Conductor (15 points).
- Can be used for Aurodium Heatsink (10 points). Recommended to keep 300-600 in reserves.
- Can be used for Bronzium Wiring (4 points). Recommended to keep 40-50 in reserves.
- Can use for Bronzium Wiring (4 points). Recommended to keep 20-50 in reserves.
- Can use for Carbonite Circuit Board (6 points).
- AURODIUM HEATSINK
- Crafting Required: This scrap will require crafting Mk 3 Sienar Holo Projector.
- Guild Store is the best place to farm for Aurodium Heatsink. Buy Mk 3 Sienar Holo Projector Salvage on sight and use it to craft the full piece. Never use the salvage for scrap.
- Shipments have full gear piece of Mk 3 Sienar Holo Projector at 300 for 1. For players without a character to craft they should always buy these. Never buy Aurodium Heatsink from Weekly Shipment. For more details see Shipment Analysis.
- Territory Wars have a chance of having gear you can use as scrap for Aurodium Heatsink.
- Light Side Battles: 9-F (Normal)
- Can use for Impulse Detector (12 points).
- Can be used for Chromium Transistor (6 points). Recommended to keep 1800-2000 in reserves.
- Can be used to craft Mk 3 Sienar Holo Projector for Aurodium Heatsink (500 points). Never use salvage.
- Can be used to craft Mk 8 Fabritech Data Pad for Chromium Transistor (300 points).
- Can be used for Carbonite Circuit Board (6 points). Recommended to keep 100 in reserves.
- CHROMIUM TRANSISTOR
- Crafting Required: This scrap may require crafting the following gear pieces; Mk 7 BAW Armor Mod, Mk 7 BlasTech Weapon Mod, Mk 7 Fabritech Data Pad, Mk 7 Loronar Power Cell, Mk 7 Neuro-Saav Electrobinoculars, Mk 8 Fabritech Data Pad
- Guild Store is the best place to farm for Chromium Transistor. It is recommended to not intentionally farm nodes strictly for gear to use for Chromium Transistor. Let salvage come naturally from other farming and buy all of the following on sight from the Guild Store:
- Never buy the actual scrap material from Weekly Shipment. For more details see Shipment Analysis.
- BRONZIUM WIRING
- Weekly Shipment has Bronzium Wiring at 1000 for 50 and 2000 for 100 and is a good option to get. For more details see Shipment Analysis.
- Light Side Battles: 7-B (Normal)
- Dark Side Battles: 8-B (Normal)
- CARBONITE CIRCUIT BOARD
- Weekly Shipment offers Carbonite Circuit Boards at 500 for 100. It is slightly better to just farm them on a Battle node and to only buy if you are panic farming. For more details see Shipment Analysis.
- Light Side Battles: 1-C (Normal)
- Can be used for Carbonite Circuit Board (6 points). Recommended to keep 150-300 in reserves.
- Can be used for Carbonite Circuit Board (6 points). Recommended to keep 300-600 in reserves.

Ranking and Analysis Legend
Each piece of gear that can be used to get scrap materials has been ranked to show its safety and value for being used. The top picks from each scrap material is listed in Best gear for scrap. Below is detailed information on each field used in the Analysis section along with how ranks are calculated.
- Rank: Used to give a quick overview of combined safety and value.
- Safety: Used to let people see the risk involved with using the gear. Saftey takes into consideration how many times the gear is needed for characters and at what Gear levels. Font color is used as a quick reference to indicate the safety.
- Black indicates it is safe to use.
- Orange indicates it should be used cautiously. This usually means the gear is needed for high gear levels and should not be used below a certain reserved amount. It could also indicate that the gear may be hard to acquire naturally due to having bad farm locations.
- Red indicates that it should never be used for that scrap material.
- Special Ranks:
- 7777 is used to indicate gear that should be crafted to use for that scrap material.
- 8888 is used to indicate gear that is used in a higher level scrap material.
- 9999 is used to indicate gear that should never be used for that scrap material.
- Safety: Used to let people see the risk involved with using the gear. Saftey takes into consideration how many times the gear is needed for characters and at what Gear levels. Font color is used as a quick reference to indicate the safety.
- Value: Used to assess the gear piece based on ease of acquisition, total uses, and the efficiency of points given for that piece of gear. The assessment uses the following criteria:
- If the gear takes more points to make than it gives then its value is less.
- If it has a farm location that doesn't have any other highly valuable gear then its value will be less.
- If the gear piece is used for high gear levels then its value will usually be less unless it is for Aurodium Heatsink or above.
- Points: Indicates the number of scrap points you get toward the scrap piece for that piece of gear.
- Points to craft: Indicates the number of scrap points the materials required to craft that gear piece are worth.
- Parts Qty: Indicates the number of materials required to craft that piece of gear.
- Uses: Indicates the estimated number of times the piece of gear is used for character gear.
- Best Farm: Indicates the best location to obtain the gear piece from. For a complete list of locations click on the gear piece to go to it's wiki page.
- Reserves: Is used to reference the quantity of a gear piece that should be kept in your inventory as a safe guard. The analysis sections will give a recommendation but the exact number is going to vary from person to person based on their Galactic Power. For Pay-To-Play and high Galactic Power (GP) players it is recommended they keep the lower number or 2-5% of the amount shown in the Uses field for that piece, while players with lower GP should keep in reserves up to 10-15%.
